Dr. Bradley Porché, Superintendent

Dr. Bradley Porché is Deaf and is currently the Superintendent at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of education as an administrator and a teacher for the Deaf.

Dr. Porché has a degree in Finance and Economics from Gallaudet University, a Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Deaf Education and Deaf Studies from Lamar University, and a professional Educational Leadership Degree from Niagara University. He has published a dissertation on the topic of “An Investigation of Technology Leadership Among State Schools for the Deaf in the United States.”

As a father of two wonderful children, Dr. Porché enjoys his free time reading books, traveling, Peloton, and Crossfit.


Dr. Porché has garnered significant recognition in the community. He was featured in Westchester and Fairfield Magazine’s 2019 Most Fascinating Men and was awarded the Top 40, Under 40 – 2018 Rising Star by the Business Council of Westchester. Recently, the Family and Children Association awarded him a Champion for Change. His work within the hearing and Deaf communities further underscores his influence and impact.


Dr. Porché brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf and the Mill Neck Family of Organizations. His unwavering commitment to Deaf education is evident in his philosophy that every Deaf or hard-of-hearing child should have the opportunity to access language and academics, paving the way for their success in college or careers. He has provided several motivational speaking engagements focusing on the importance of working with a diverse community in the workplace climate, including language and communication access, and ensuring opportunities for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

As the Dean, she plays a crucial role in ensuring that each student receives the support and resources they need to thrive academically and socially. Maria’s commitment to advocating for the rights of Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals makes her a valuable asset to the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf. Her meticulous effort to develop and implement personalized education plans have helped countless students achieve their full potential. Maria is a strong communicator and collaborator, working tirelessly to build partnerships and create opportunities for success of students, as well as her colleagues.

Maria is also a dedicated and compassionate former special needs teacher with a wealth of experience in the field. With a strong background in education and a passion for her work, she has honed her skills in creating individualized learning plans and providing tailored support to meet the unique needs of each student. Maria’s commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment has earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, students, and families alike. She has an unwavering dedication to advocating for the needs of our students and ensuring they have access to quality education, robust language resources, and any available support required to excel.


Outside of work, Maria is a dedicated and nurturing mother who prioritizes the well-being and happiness of her three children above all else. Maria’s patience, compassion, and resilience make her an exceptional role model for her family, demonstrating the importance of hard work, perseverance, and kindness. Maria’s unwavering dedication to her family is truly admirable. Both her children and Mill Neck are fortunate to have such a caring and devoted individual in their community.

Lauren Morales, Database & Compliance Officer, is Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf’s dedicated PowerSchool administrator. With a wealth of experience in managing information systems, her keen attention to detail and strong understanding of technology, she ensures that student data is accurately maintained and accessible to all stakeholders. Her role involves overseeing the implementation of PowerSchool modules, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing training to staff members on
system usage. She is committed to supporting the unique needs of our Deaf and hard-of-hearing student population and she strives to enhance their educational experience through efficient and effective use of technology.


With finely honed skills in client relations, event planning, and membership recruitment from her experience as a former Executive & Membership Secretary for an exclusive private country club, she is versed in providing exceptional service to all stakeholders. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, and has embraced learning American Sign Language since arriving at
Mill Neck.


She is adept at coordinating schedules, handling confidential information, and communicating effectively at all times. She is also dedicated to ensuring accurate and timely state reports related to school data, completing grant applications, monitoring of compliance, and development of the school’s policies. Lauren’s dedication to professionalism and commitment to excellence have earned her the respect and
admiration of colleagues in her numerous roles.


In her free time, Lauren enjoys a passion for exploring new destinations, indulging in culinary delights, and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Above all, her greatest source of happiness comes from spending quality time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories and building strong bonds. She believes in living life to the fullest and embracing every opportunity for growth and connection.
